sweet sweet vacation… in Collingwood

17 Mar
what started out as just getting to see Blue Mountain and hanging out at Brent’s house, kind of snowballled into a vacation, to the point that i had random moments where i forgot that i was in Canada lol. the drive up there pretty much sucked. i had just gotten off work. it was dark. i was half-sleepy but not sleepy enough to sleep. then there was some ungodly fog that was impossible to see through, which freaked me out real good. but then there was a sign for a town called something Mountain and on the sign it says "High- Healthy- Happy"… which got its fair share of giggles from me. then after that i saw a sign for Lover’s Lane.  then when we got to his neighbourhood there were some deer.

Saturday night we went swimming in his uncle’s heated outdoor pool. there’s nothing like swimming around in super warm water when its freezing outside and then your head gets cold so you gotta go under. and you can see the mountains and the stars. but most of all: the water is warm. it was so warm i didn’t want to get out. and getting out was super bad. it was freeeeeeeeezing cold. and it did not help that i was all wet and had gotten out of a nice warm pool.

did i mention that i caught up on TV and saw this awesome commercial where death and this guy on a bench are eating super cheesey stringy burritos? yeah it was awesome.

as per my lack of remembering things: the car ride up DID have some shining moments! mostly just the conversatins were awesome. philosophisizingly fun. and i saw a racoon.

i’ve also been notified that the place is called Mount Forest.
